How to care
At least five hours of direct sun; a south-facing balcony is ideal. Soak the roots every two to three days and keep the leaves dry in the late afternoon. Cut spent blooms right away so the plant puts its energy into new buds.

What it is, and who it suits
The rose here is a low bush that blooms nearly year-round given enough sun, and every time you cut a spent flower the plant answers with a new bud — the more attention it gets, the more it gives back. It is the most demanding flowering plant in the catalogue: the highest care level, watering every three days, and a real need for strong sun. It suits someone with a south-facing balcony that genuinely catches light, and anyone who prefers a daily small ritual over a plant that only needs a glance once a week.
Where to put it, and how much room to leave
It needs at least five hours of direct sun a day — this is not an indoor plant, and even the biggest window usually is not enough. A south-facing balcony is ideal; west-facing works too, though the harsher afternoon sun means the soil dries faster and needs closer watching. The bush reaches about eighty centimetres and spreads its canes fairly wide, so leave half a metre of clearance so they do not rub against a wall or railing. Good airflow matters — wedging it between other pots invites the fungal spotting that is the most common disease in potted roses.
The year-round rhythm
Soak the roots every two to three days, and keep the leaves dry in the late afternoon — leaves that stay wet overnight are the ideal condition for fungus to take hold. The soil should hold moisture well while still draining, so ordinary potting mix with well-rotted organic compost added is enough. Deadhead the moment petals start dropping, cutting at an angle just above a healthy leaf bud so the plant channels energy into new buds rather than seed. Feed every two weeks through the warm months — this is one of the rare plants in the catalogue that needs regular feeding, because continuous flowering drains nutrients fast. Do one hard prune at the end of the cool season so it flushes new growth all at once. Repot annually, sizing up once the roots feel cramped.
Which pot suits it
Size M for a young plant, L once the bush is dense and flowering in multiple flushes. Terracotta is a good choice for its fast drainage, cutting the risk of rot from watering every three days under strong sun. Since the flowers are the real focal point and vary in colour by variety, a neutral glaze like Bone or Tan avoids competing with them; a loud glaze or busy pattern gets visually crowded once the plant is in full bloom. The heavier and more stable the base, the better — this plant lives outdoors in wind, and a light pot topples easily once the canes are heavy with flowers.
Three things that go wrong
Black or yellow spots spreading across leaves before they drop: black spot disease, usually from leaves staying wet overnight — remove affected leaves, water the roots rather than the foliage, and give it more distance from other pots for airflow. Plenty of green leaves but no flowers: usually too little sun or the wrong feed — check the actual hours of direct light, not light filtered through glass. Buds forming and then drying black without opening: often heat stress or a water gap right when the bud is developing — keep the watering rhythm steady and never let the soil go bone dry between waterings. Good news for pet households: roses are non-toxic, the only hazard is the thorns.

Chậu miệng loe đúng là dành cho hoa: tán hồng xoè ra ngoài vành mà không đè lên nhau. Hai tuần đã có nụ mới.
